Deer Park School District joins Clayton Brickyard Days!
First Day of School (K-12): August 28, 2024
DPSD will provide basic school supplies again this year for students K-8. Many thanks to our community for their continued support! The levy funds help ensure all students have basic school supplies for the start of school. Students are asked to bring a backpack and lunchbox on the first day of school.
Deer Park School District celebrates Settler's Day! We love our community!
The DPHS bleachers/pressbox project is under construction. It is due to be completed by early October 2024. This is phase 1 of 3 of the athletics complex vision and part of the larger capital projects vision for the district. Also in progress is the demolition in preparation for the varsity softball field. More information coming soon!
Many thanks to our maintenance and custodial staff who work throughout the summer (and in the VERY HOT weather) to ensure our buildings are ready for fall and our grounds are maintained!

1st day of school: August 28 (Grades 1-12)
Students at DPMS celebrated a successful Run60 event! Complete with professional Luau dancers, leis, and a 3 piece Steel Band performance by DPHS Sophomores, students enjoyed a wonderful celebration!
DPMS students provided service and leadership with compassion. Thirty-seven (37) students raised money, provided community service hours, and provided 14,780 meals for our community! Way to serve DPMS!

DPMS band wrapped up the year with a fantastic awards concert! 6th, 7th, and 8th grade concert and jazz bands filled the gymnasium with beautiful music. Special congratulations to those receiving awards voted on by peers!

CHROMEBOOK CHECK-IN AND 2024/25 DPMS SCHEDULING
Good evening DPMS families. The 2023/24 school year is coming to a rapid close and I hope to keep you well informed in the coming days regarding our end of the year events.
This Friday, June 7th, will be our computer and charger turn-in day for all students grades 6-8. In order to avoid issues we ask for your help to make sure your child brings their Chromebook laptop and charger to school on Friday!
Tomorrow and Friday our 6th and 7th grade students will be choosing their electives for 1st semester next year. Please see our 2024-25 elective offerings HERE to discuss with your child what would be the best class for them to take!
Award ceremonies are next week. The 8th grade promotion ceremony and awards are Wednesday, June 12th @ 1:00. Thursday June 13th are the 6th graders @ 8:40 and 7th graders @ 9:30. Students getting special awards will receive a robo-call invitation by Saturday.
Thursday, June 13th is the last day of school, which ends at 10:30.

Today our 7th graders engaged in the 4S project: Seventh grade Spike Spring Service Project. Thank you Spikes for a great day of community service! Seventh graders painted the sports complex, weeded/cleaned up the high school, painted the picnic tables, washed windows, planted flowers at City Hall, and painted the gym at the Clayton Fairgrounds! Many thanks DPMS seventh graders!
