State Testing 2024!
Good morning DPMS families. I hope this email finds you well! Today marks the start of state testing at DPMS. We try to spread testing out over multiple days and periods to help students not become overwhelmed and stressed. The best thing you can do to help your child is to ensure they are well rested and that they come to school daily with a CHARGED CHROMEBOOK. In addition, please encourage them to do their best on state tests, as these scores help us accurately place students into their classes for next year at DPMS and the High School. Thank you!
Have a great night and Go Spikes!

Thank you, teachers! DPSD celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week: May 6 - 10.

DPMS 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade MIC teams competed at MIC Masters (State) at Moses Lake High School on April 27th. The students performed fabulously! State competition was fierce, and there were an unprecedented number of "ties" at all grade levels. Parents, family, fellow students, and DPMS faculty, would have been very proud to witness how our MIC students maintained a positive attitude and portrayed positive sportsmanship. To our MIC students: your MIC coaches and volunteers have enjoyed being there to mentor you and sharpen your math skills, and we look forward to the next MIC season.
6th: Carson Hanlin, Landen Link, Samantha Cosner, Addy Simonson, Coach Shawna Cosner, Harper Ray
7th/8th: 7th/8th Grade Teams from left to right: Evan Alexander, James Elser, Sienna Phillips, Camden Rich, Keith Schick, and Kenadie Hunt

DPMS Announcements!
Good afternoon DPMS families. I hope this message finds you well and enjoying spring. Here are a few updates and reminders for the week ahead.
- Chromebooks! Every student at DPMS has a district issued Chromebook. Much of our school curriculum is online and teachers use Google Classroom to assign school work. Students MUST bring their CHARGED Chromebook to school every day! This is so important for a successful day at school for your child. Please help us by asking them to bring the Chromebook home daily and charge it at night. Thank you!
- Wednesday is once again a late start. Buses run and school starts ONE HOUR late on Wednesday, 4/24.
- This Friday is our 3rd quarter awards ceremony. If your child is slated to receive an award you will receive another email with the details of the assembly!
