DPMS - Week of 2/26 and Beyond... Good evening DPMS families. I hope you are well and enjoying the dangerously spring-like weather. Just a few items for next week and beyond... - Starting Monday, all of our DPMS students will be taking the iReady math and LA benchmark testing. PLEASE make sure your student charges their Chromebook for Monday morning! The iReady tests, given only twice a year in the fall and late winter, are used to measure learning growth and also very important for proper class placement next year. - Monday also represents another "Manic Monday" for DPMS. On Manic Monday's from 2:00 - 3:00, students who have D/F grades or possibly important missing class work are given the opportunity in a study hall, with their teacher, to complete or improve them. Students who are taking care of their academic business successfully have a host of engaging activity options to choose from. PLEASE do NOT pull your student out of school early on Monday's, especially if they have been assigned study hall. This time can be highly productive for students to get what they need academically. - Wednesday, February 28th is an ONE HOUR LATE START. Thank you for your time and enjoy the weekend! Principal Deer Park Middle School Go Spikes! IMUA!
