Progress is being made on the bleacher/pressbox project! We will have bleachers that are safer, ADA compliant, and have additional handrails. Once the bleachers are completed, the pressbox will need to be built and wired. Stay tuned for more updates! Welcome back! DPSD is excited and thrilled to welcome our 1st - 12th graders back to school today!

2024-25 - Here We Go!
Good evening DPMS families. It was great to see many of you at our Back to School Night last night. I know it can be a lot to figure out in one short evening but rest assured, your kids will be well taken care of tomorrow as they navigate day one of the 2024-25 school year. Here are some details to help your students feel successful and get off to a great start tomorrow.
Doors Open at 8:05 and school is out at 3:00. Parent drop off and pick-up is on the south side, by the gym doors in that loop. Please do not drop off or pick-up during normal hours in the front of the school. Also, please do not try to enter or exit from the parent pick drop/pick up area from the front main entrance. Buses are using that area, as well as parents visiting the office. Thank you!
New schedules will be printed for students tomorrow morning (and are available on Skyward). While there have been only limited changes, it is always good to start with a fresh and current schedule (new ones will be yellow). Schedules can be picked up at:
6th Grade - 6th grade area courtyard, outside near the bus loop. 6th graders are to report to FLEX (Homeroom) first thing not necessarily 1st period.
7th Grade - Cafeteria
8th Grade - Gym
Here are some helpful links to keep you connected and informed of what is going on at DPMS!
Our WEBSITE is a great place to find sports info (Final Forms and schedules) and also a live feed calendar. It's not too late to start. First practice for all sports is tomorrow at DPMS.
This is a link to our Daily Announcements read by student leaders each morning.
This is our Year at a Glance Calendar of Activities and is kept current and therefore subject to change.
Thanks again for trusting us with your children! It is our goal to help every child feel like they belong here and have the best possible year at DPMS.
Have a great night and Go Spikes!

Welcome to DPMS - 2024/25
Good evening Deer Park Middle School families. I am Tim Olietti, and going into my 14th year as Principal of DPMS , and I am excited to welcome you to the 2024-25 school year. I frequently use this robo call system to call and email you with important information. Please make sure your email in Skyward Family Access is accurate and does not go into your spam folder because at times, I will only send an email.
This message is to inform you of a few back to school items.
The first is that the schedules that can be seen in Skyward are subject to change in the coming week. It is fine if students or you email me with change requests but it is best to wait until the end of next week to ensure it is accurate.
The second is to let you know that our Back to School night and Open House will be on Monday, August 26th for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. I will send out a separate email next week with specific details for each grade level but please note we will have a special 6th grade only orientation time.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
Thank you for your time, enjoy the weekend ahead and Go Spikes!
