Arcadia Elementary is located in the beautiful town of Deer Park, Washington. Deer Park boasts a population of over 3,400 citizens and is surrounded by fields, forests, lakes and wildlife. Our school sits in the middle of a large valley, with mountains in three directions. The city of Spokane is approximately 20 miles to the south.
Arcadia has experienced steady growth in recent years, and has a population of over 450 students. Arcadia serves students in grades three through five. Our school takes pride in helping all students grow both academically and socially. Our goal, as teachers and staff, is to help our students become respectable and responsible citizens of the future. Our focus is on setting high academic standards, and we set the same standards for ourselves. We make a constant commitment to continuous learning, collaboration, and finding better ways to support each and every child at Arcadia.
Arcadia Elementary, where CHARACTER COUNTS, provides students with many positive incentives for academic excellence and appropriate behavior. Principal Pride assemblies focus on academic excellence, effort, citizenship, and improvement. These students model what it means to show RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, KINDNESS, and SAFETY; they know what it means to be TRUSTWORTHY and to value their CITIZENSHIP.
Arcadia’s school day begins at 8:35 p.m. and ends at 3:05 p.m. We have a morning recess from 10:25-10:40 for our 3rd graders and afternoon recesses for our 4th graders at 2:00-2:15 and our 5th graders at 1:45-2:00.
